European cultural capital

Umeå is European cultural capital 2014. Consequently the whole city has been one endless building project for the last year or so!

This blip is the new town hall - the cultural weave. It's not quite finished, but when it is it will house a concert hall, museums, dance hall and meeting spaces. It's a wonderful idea, but many of us are wondering how the city is going to cover the cost in the future.....
