The Goose and The Gander

Mahjong? Kanbudong (I don't understand)

Here, the Gander ponders his next move in the popular Chinese
game, Mahjong. We were treated to Avatar in 3D and then dinner with
the rest of the English teachers at our school today, a nice break for
the rest of them from crazy preparations for student exams. The Gander
and I don't have to teach this week, our classes being cancelled so
that the students have extra time to study for their 'more important'
subjects. We've been spending our time doing a lot of relaxing and
last-minute planning for our trip!

After a big Chinese banquet complete with fish head, durian fruit (a
very smelly fruit neither of us had tried before) and LOTS of the
Chinese liquor baijiu, some of the teachers sat down to play Mahjong.
Martin got coaxed into it, although the other teachers had to help him
quite a bit, and I'm not sure he left knowing anything about the game.
It was fun watching him try, though. I took pictures while another
English teacher cuddled up to me and laughed at Martin. :)

We will definitely remember nights like this for years and years to come.
