Up in smoke

On my way to work this morning my car overheated and went up in a literal cloud of smoke. We took it to the mechanic that afternoon after I put two gallons of coolant into it. Unfortunately the intake manifold cracked because ford has put a crappy plastic part in that they inevitably had to recall, but we missed the deadline by a solid 6 years, so it's SOL time now. And it's over an $800 fix! I was so bummed, I thought it would be something relatively simple like a cracked hose or something. But since we paid nothing for the car and don't really have the money to be buying new cars right now, we are going to have to suck it up and kiss our hard earned money goodbye. It was nice knowing you, come back and see us soon! On a good night, ice cream social at work today. There is an up to every down :)
