caught in the storm...

...way up in the sky

and i was caught - off guard - by this glorious bird - as it swooped through the clouds - highlighted by the sun - as hail came swiftly slashing down - i'm not certain if it's a heron or not - it appears to be - i immediately found myself thinking - "et, phone home" - due to the way the sun was hitting him - it just seemed so other worldly - and all -

i admit, it's probably not the best shot of the day - but the way the storm came on so suddenly - how the hail engulfed the area - the sun pretty much remaining in the sky - the entire time - it's one of those photos that just speaks to me - isn't that what it's about? i've come to learn - these are the ones i need to post then - whether they are the most perfect - isn't really the point - it's the ones which tell the story - represent my day - i'll look back on - remember most and go "oh yes, i recall..." - those are the ones - which always make for...
