Dad and his mates......

My Dad is nearly 80 and is living life along the lines of the saying - 'It's now or never"

He travels alot, usually to way out countries, uses local trains, buses and accomodation. Loves to backpack around, even though he can afford 5 *. He is very generous to his family with his time and advice and loves to know what we are all doing and especially his grandchildren.
He is a big All Blacks fan ( The New Zealand Rugby team for those that don't know who they are!)and travels the world to watch them when the World Cup is on.

He lives up in the Bay of Islands here in NZ, and came down to our place last night. He is off to Dunedin today with his usual crowd of mates who have gathered here from various parts of the country. They will watch the big rugby game between NZ and England on Saturday , and then be back here Sunday.
Dad will stay with us next week.
He has tickets for him and Dave to go to the Crusaders/England game here in Chch on Tuesday...so a big rugby week here .....not that I am too excited but since it is the All Blacks I will probably watch!

I love that Dad is so busy and when he and these mates get together they have so much fun.....almost like a bunch of teenagers.
(Dad is the one in the green top)
