Sim Time

Every six months, without fail, we get beasted in the Simulator. It's a three day event, with training and tests and it's hard work. You do learn stuff, but it's not something that people in general look forward to - partly because we only do it every six months, and as you grow older, you forget stuff quicker!

This is a shot from the Instructor seat in the sim - its where you can set the weather, change the scenarios and inflict all sorts of emergencies and problems on the candidates who sit and sweat in the cockpit up front! That's Richard C running the show, with Mike O in the right seat in the Sim, and Mags out of shot in the left seat.

I am learning to run Simulator Sessions and it's very interesting seeing things from the Instructor side of the equation - and a lot easier as I'm not being tested!
