Downing Collrge Chapel.

Although Downing College was founded in 1800 and named after Sir George Downing, this Anglican chapel was built in 1951. It has a central place in the musical life of the college, having an excellent choir. All are welcome to attend any service or event or to visit during the day. However, you do need to be a member of the college to qualify for the free doughnuts, biscuits, tea, coffee and lemonade, which are served on the chapel steps at 3-30pm on Thursdays.
