Don't know if I'm coming or going!

Last night, after having my bike delivered back to me with the recommendation to break it up and sell individual parts to make some of my money back, I very sadly wrapped up my blog saying 'There's no more to say'.

Marlane said 'Why don't you start again, clean it up, do your carbs or whatever. You got it working once you can do it again'.

So, this morning I tried to start it and there was a lot of clanking and whirring but nothing else.
'Sounds like misfiring' I thought so I got my HT Lead diagram out and found the numbers 2 and 3 leads were transposed. Swapped them over and the engine burst into life.

I rode it down to the workshop and they nearly fell over in amazement to see it running again.

Trouble was, for those that are interested, is that the mechanic had used the coil/HT lead diagram from a GSXR whereas mine is a GSXF. Didn't think there'd be a difference but there obviously is!

So I'm going to continue by stripping the carbs and giving them a good clean, new gaskets etc.
