Newton's second law in action

Lots of tantrums today - including one in Asda that involved shoe throwing and almost accidental breast exposure (my mistake wearing a strapless top when trying to restrain a thrashing toddler) but the day got better after a nap when he agreed to join me outside after spending the morning telling me to come in because there was going to be a thunderstorm!

He wants to play independently most of the time now so I read on my kindle and joined in when told to. We drew a treasure map and his animals became pirates for about an hour before he decided that they all needed a go on the swing and the slide before teatime.

I didn't get the job I applied for but only because they can't afford me and not because they didn't want me, so I don't feel too upset as I got some great feedback.
