Kind words

Three lovely moments today:

1030: As I arrived at work (1 hour 30 minutes late because I overslept!!) a patient who I had treated the day before with pneumonia walked up to me and shook my hand. He said he wanted to thank me for looking after him.

1700: I decided to stay late at work to make up for being late this morning. My Consultant was having none of it, he said " Shhh, don't mention it, have I mentioned it? You go home, these things happen sometimes".

1830: I went to brownies. I haven't been able to help out there for weeks and weeks because of my rota and when I walked through the door they all screamed "YAY!!". We made father's day gifts tonight- Crowns and "You're the best dad" certificates. They all seemed to enjoy it. We played splat too, they love that game, I don't remember it being around when I was little.
