Empty nest.

I found this nest when was sawing up the Christmas tree. (It was in the Christmas tree, hidden amongst the lower branches, not just in my living room. I'm not houseproud or anything, but I do clean often enough to notice if animals are making their homes in my soft furnishings. Well, the more noticeable ones. The larger birds and mammals at least.)

Felt sorry for the bird. Hacking the tree to bits was quite cathartic though.
