Quick blip bicycling home from a fun event, a community singing, There is a festival going on this weekend in Lappeenranta of people whose heritage is in Karelia. Part of Karelia was lost to Russia in World War II; the people were evacuated and settled around Finland. Love of singing is one trait of Karelian people. I knew all the songs but one, and had fun singing along.
