Glasgow Schools' Baton back at City Chambers
The Glasgow schools' baton relay has been a fantastic success. The baton was designed by a local pupil and it was made on a 3D printer. It has travelled from school to school in Glasgow and children have found inventive ways to welcome it and transport it to the next school.
I think it has had a real legacy effect and has certainly brought the Commonwealth Games alive for the schools it has visited. I think it is a real shame that we haven't had any real media coverage.
It was great seeing it arrive back at the City Chambers today and being delivered back to the Lord Provost.
