Winner of today's outdoor blip contest
It took me all day to get outside to the garden between rain showers and steady downpours to find a contestant. There were several to choose from. Some will be lovely tomorrow, too. A number of the purple Siberian iris stems were broken. They are living in a jar in the kitchen now.
Total time allowed outside= 5 minutes, and that many bites, too.
Technique? I just held the camera above the bush and snapped. This 6 or 7 foot tall heirloom rose bush, rosa glauca, is so named because it is a rose with a grey foliage. The single pink flowers cover the bush. It blooms once. Last year the bright red hips started small plants all around on the soil beneath the bush.
Success!
