Cutty Grass

Frosty and chilly this morning but the sun is shining, the birds are singing and it will be a lovely day. Cutty grass (Carex geminata) is a New Zealand native grass which flourishes in wetlands and there's a patch of it growing in a little swamp on the farm. It's razor sharp and, not surprisingly, the sheep don't touch it.
