A Little Bit of South America in Kaituna

World Cup time is here again (did you see the Spain v Netherlands game? Wow!!) so to mark the occasion I thought I'd find something a little bit South American to blip.

These alpacas may not be native to Brazil, but they're pretty sure footed and well fancied by some, just like the Chilean football team :-)

It was nice having a walk down the valley with Jack today. It's the first time I've walked down below the school house for a couple of months, and it's got a very different feel now that winter is here. The sun is lower and with the foliage from the deciduous trees gone the light is very different.

One thing did strike me though; I will miss being here...
