What a star!

Well I thought he was!

It was the Kirkhill Gala today, a friend organised an agility demonstration and she invited Bud and I to take part.

Bud was brilliant, I was not!

A simple course was set up in the arena, simple to others that is, simple to Bud, but highly complicated to me! Each dog had one practice run, then we all went again for a timed run. Some dogs were fast, some v e r y slow, one barked non-stop and did twirls of excitement every couple of steps. Another made up his own version of the course, but on the first run Bud did it perfectly, just perfectly.

However, on the second, the timed run, I got overconfident. "We've cracked this" I thought, "this is easy", I thought. Fatal. I was totally confused at one point, missed jumps, went the wrong way round others, forgot the tunnel, it was a complete disaster. Poor Bud stood in the middle of the course totally confused. My fault.

Never mind, we enjoyed it and next time I shall be better. At least I know that he can do it and doesn't get distracted by the crowds or watching dogs and best of all, in spite of everything, it was fun!
