Flag Iris (Iris pseudacorus)
The day was filled with pottering about with things at home and cutting the grass. Fortunately I got the grass cut before it started to rain.
Between showers I went out with the camera intending to take some shots of the Flag Iris flowers in the bog garden. I did take some shots but this one of the rain standing on the Iris leaves caught my eye more than the flowers themselves. You may get the Iris flowers another day.
The Flag Iris is called a Flag Iris because the leaf is similar to the Sweet Flag Acorus calamus. In fact as you will probably spot the scientific name for the Flag Iris is false acorus (pseudacorus).
