Kingfisher

Today I was meeting my friend for coffee and as it was so beautiful I decided to walk there along the Water of Leith. About ten years ago my Dad spotted a Kingfisher there and as there are only 5 breeding pairs it is a rare sight. I was looking at the water and wondering if I would be lucky to see one and got my camera ready just in case and sure enough out darted this amazing bird. All day I have been telling everyone how I missed capturing the kingfisher on camera and would probably never see one again. When I downloaded the picture I saw the wee bird in the right hand corner of the frame. Look closely and you might just see it too.
