Pink Lady

We've had a lovely ride out on the bike today; a mini tour of Yorkshire.

The weather was cloudy but fine, so I decided to test out my pink leather jacket that Mr A bought me for Christmas. I think it looks awesome, especially with my pink boots :-)

It's quite stiff with it being new, but hopefully if we get more good weather, I can wear it some more and break it in.

We set off to visit a nature reserve called Healey Dell which is near Rochdale. When we got there it was really busy as they were having a wartime event (which wasn't mentioned on the website). It was too crowded for us and the tearoom wasn't serving, so we left.

From there, we rode back to Bacup, then on through Todmorden (Richyf....defo nothing there!), Hebden Bridge and into Halifax, where we stopped for a coffee.

On the way back, we spotted a couple of old buses....Mr A got very excited!! We had a ride out last year to Halifax to try and track down an old Accrington Bus which is now used for weddings. We found the garage but all the buses were locked away.

We followed one of the buses back to the depot and luckily all the buses were just arriving back from their days functions...talk about perfect timing!

We explained to the boss why we were there and he let us have a wander round to see the buses, but Mr A only had eyes for the number 10!

It's nice to see these vehicles restored so beautifully and obviously doing a roaring trade with the wedding season. We were offered reasonable rates on a future booking.......if they weren't vintage already they could well be by the time we make a booking!
