No seaships here

Although pronounced "seaships," the acronym CSHPS stands for the Canadian Society for the History and Philosophy of Science. I gave a paper here at Brock University today as part of a massive Congress 2014 of numerous social science and history groups. Some of the papers were presented at various meeting rooms at residences at Brock. In my case, it was at the Lowenberger Residence. I was downstairs and a couple of others that I attended were upstairs. It went well, overall.

My topic: "Smashing Atoms and Making Money: Robert J. Van de Graaff's High Voltage Engineering Corporation — Methods and challenges of marketing peaceful uses for particle accelerators during the Cold War."

Brock University is not far from Niagara Falls and the Welland Canal (where seaships pass between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie bound inland or for the Atlantic Ocean).
