Lost out on that golden half-hour this morning. You know - the last 30 minutes before your alarm goes off.

Obviously stung by the criticism that they've been slow to clear the snow and ice form the roads and footpaths, the local council had the lads out early today, scraping it all up with a mechanical digger. At 6.00 am!

So bang went that precious time that you can just never get back.

As reported yesterday, I had today booked off as a holiday to go to the unofficial Grand Match bonspiel. But the weather is now far too warm and the ice conditions are no longer suitable for curling. Bummer!

Double bummer as it then meant I had to go to work.

Not to worry though as I had two matches scheduled for this evening. I'm now pooped, but too wired to sleep yet.

Must try though, just in case the council workies are planning another dawn raid with their digger tomorrow again.
