Church ceiling detail
Phew - what a week! Even my day off yesterday was non-stop, cleaning the house, cooking for about 20 people for an evening gathering and writing up a presentation for a Parish Away Day today. We spent time at nearby Canwell Church, which proved an ideal location. I ended up waiting a while (about 2 hours!) after everyone else had left, so had time for a few photos. I really like this vaulted ceiling, which is very untypical of churches in this part of Staffordshire. I was going to convert it to monochrome, but I actually quite like the subtle colour changes in the stonework so have left it pretty much as it was taken except for rotating it 90 degrees to give a landscape format.
