The Edith Maye...

... sailing on the Medway near Chatham Docks.
She is a sailing barge who takes people on trips between Chatham and Borstal up and down the Medway. I have taken pictures before but not used them for blipping. therousey took a good blip of her near Rochester a short while back.

After dispatching Alex to his hiking adventure for 7:30, Fred and I had the rest of the day free. It was a bit of deary day by late morning, but as we both felt the urge for exercise we walked, mostly along the river from Rochester, through Chatham and up past Fort Amherst up onto 'The Lines' above Chatham that give a great view for miles around. I did try a panorama but, when I looked at it, I had too much sky and grassy foreground which would not crop well without losing definition.

We then descended, grabbed a wrap and coffee on the way through Chatham and got home for a rest before going out to 'Café Maroc' for a lovely evening meal.

Home in plenty of time for the footie...
