Football heaven or hell ?

Large might be worth a look.

It's that time again , wall to wall football on telly , so far reall end to end attacking games and already some surprising results. Hell if you don't like the beautiful game.

Today was a football fest for us beginning with a football gala day in helensburgh organised by Ardencaple FC, three games on the go all the time with a wide age range, from the under 9s through to the under 16s. Andy Roxburgh would have been proud of the boys who all played their best football and could easily have refereed the game themselves with no signs of dissent or deliberate foul play, clean hard tackles yes, but none of the professional fouls etc we see at the higher levels in the game.

Then it was over to Motherwell to see a really competitive , skillful international game between Scotland and Sweden . Half time was a real treat with a keepie- uppy display to make the late Jim Baxter proud. As well as that we had 5 a side games for the girls who looked to be aged 5 -7 . Very entertaining itwas too!
