Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Magical Memorable Geography

Our camera is still on location . . .

. . . a truly great mini-vacation is sparked by a magical memorable geography.

Vacation days delight the senses, lift the spirits, and mesmerize the vacationers. No one wants a fabulous vacation to end, and it never does because it lives on in memories.

We've blipped this day from beginning to end and downloaded 243 photo possibilities, so have created this poster display.

The morning was birthed in light and then accented with color: soft blue, pale pink, mild peach, and delightful magenta.

Mr. Fun took a winning morning photo. Then within an hour the fog rolled in and we thought that possibly we would not see the sun for the remainder of the week (rain has been forcasted). Slightly before noon, the sun reappeared and flirted with us all afternoon as the clouds danced in front of it.

With not one care nor item on our agenda, we started walking at approximately 11:30 and didn't return until after 2:00 p.m. The day was dedicated to enjoyment and amusement.

We stopped at the "Friends of the Library" and exited with a handful of CDs for Mr. Fun and a book about parties for Rosie. We walked to the Latitude 33 Bookstore to admired the newest releases. Then a stroll through the Hobie Store. Rosie stopped in the $15 store and found several cute clothing items she will go back for later. We window-shopped in the bakery and left all the calories behind the glass display while exiting with our 2 cups of freshly brewed coffee; then walked to Main Beach to sit and watch and drink. The ambiance of Laguna Beach is nothing less than captivating.

Then we walked the sandy shoreline to the front of our hotel. After a little while we made a quick elevator trip to our 5th floor room and then headed back again to the sand to watch as the the sun descended and the final ray illuminated the sand.

Our room is equipped with a full kitchen, so Mr. Fun is dieting in style and we have a view to "live for." Tomorrow is Wednesday and we haven't a thing planned, except to leave footprints in the sand.

I've told him a zillion times today that I love him and his response is always the one I want to hear, "And I you."

Till tomorrow, good night from Southern California's shoreline.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
