I went to go and watch some of my friends who were dancing at an outdoor mini festival on campus. They were part of the jazz dance team and gave a really good show. They were expecting to perform barefoot but the concrete was too rough apparently so they had to borrow any socks they could find - hence the silly socks ruining their all black outfits.
