Great day first with SR watching England only narrowly loose to New Zealand in the rugby in the sports bar marylebone over a cooked breakfast. England are looking good and the all blacks no longer look invincible. It's very encouraging but also disappointing to have two test matches lost that England with a little more luck could have won.

Then on to lords for the first test England v Sri Lanka. With rednalranger and stevieb. There is something very special about a test match at lords. It's a fantastic place. We enjoyed a great picnic on the nursery ground and some fine old fashioned test match batting from sangakkara who made 148. Playing shots when he needed to and leaving what he didn't. Frustrating day for the England bowlers but a great day out for us.
