Cow Parsley

Overcast for our walk into Midhurst to get the Sunday papers this morning. Still lots of interest on the way. The bridge at South Pond is getting lost under a mass of Cow Parsley. In Yorkshire we used to call it Step Mother Blessing. We weren't allowed to bring it indoors, folk lore said our mothers would die if we did. Here it's just starting to turn to seed, as the head in the foreground shows. Love that shape.
