Ice storm

We visited the International Antarctic Centre in Christchurch where one of the exhibits was a Snow Room. You have to put on warm jackets before going in because the temperature goes down to -8 degrees C, as shown by this thermometer.

I went in on my own - Lawrence very sensibly declined! The floor was icy and there was an igloo in the corner. When the storm was about to start the lights were dimmed and the wind began to whistle. It got very, very cold.
