A landlord / landlady’s responsibilities!!

Having received complaints from the guests about the lack of washing / drinking / messing about facilities, we dismantled the “water feature” to see why the pump was struggling. It was clogged up with silt and stones, so with the filter thoroughly cleaned, it was in working order again.

Only problem is that the flexible tube that fits into the bottom of the pot needs replacing, also the pot may as well be replaced as it cracked a couple of years ago and only functions due to a coating of “stuff” on the inside. We will look for new ones tomorrow.

The weather was overcast but stayed dry, so I spent about 5 hours doing “stuff” in the garden and intermittently advised / assisted B with restoring G’dad’s old dining table.

A most satisfying day!! The birds were a bit put out due to my presence, but flocked in to devour the tasty titbits that I laid on for them when I had finished.

PS for Friday's blip I think that it is a Banded demoiselle damselfly!!
