Relay for life

Today was the Relay for Life event at school in Waterloo.
This is an event when teams walk around a track in relays for the whole 24 hours to raise money for work to find a cure for Cancer.

It is the 3rd time held locally and the first time I have been along and it is amazing!the enthusiasm and commitment was easy to see.There were activities going on all day and night from singing to crafts to Zumba.

At 11 pm Candles were lit to commemorate survivors of cancer or loved ones lost and we all walked around the track in silence then there was a beautiful singer.

I took lots of pictures but I really like this one as it shows the fun ,enthusiasm and energy of the event-much as is needed in the fight against cancer.
