Faithful friend

We went back to the impressive Churfisten peaks in the Toggenburg to mount number 5 out of 7 today, Zuestoll. Mixed weather and certainly cloudy on the tops, but we found sunshine at the start and end. We tackled the only one which is given a blue Alpine path rating, generally due to exposure and scrambly bits. Our old dog was an absolute star leading the way mostly and letting us lead her/ lift her/ push her up the scrambly bits. You can see us in action on MalcolmsEye.
This is a picture of her at the end of the day as we are nearing the guest house and restaurant where we stayed last weekend. It has to be said, when she arrived she couldn't quite understand why she couldn't go off to her room to bed! She wasn't the only one who fell asleep: I promptly dozed off in the sunshine after my shandy! Another great day out in this beautiful part of the world.
