Our Vera is packed, MOT passed and we have hit the road for a couple of weeks heading as far South in France as we can get. And though we crossed the Channel into France, our first stop is just over the border into Belgium.

We had planned to spend our first night in Ypres, a town we like very much, but I suppose given last week's commemorations, the campsite was full. We were redirected a few miles South to Kemmel, a very pleasant village complete with green and bandstand. I was a bit drawn though to this eccentric garden which stood out amongst the picture perfect surroundings.
