The Maltese Falcon

I spotted this bit of objets d' art in a charity shop. I'm pretty sure it could be the famous Maltese Falcon as seen in the famous film of the same name. (what are the chances?)
As much as I loved Humphrey Bogart in the film my fave actor was Sydney Greenstreet although a character actor for many years on the stage the Matese Falcon was his first film at the age of 63. His character in the film was Kasper Gutman (the Fat Man) was so iconic that one of the first atomic bombs which was round and fat was named "Fat Man" after him.
