The cows come home

We spent all day in Viscri, visiting local artisans and enjoying this special village. We went by horse and cart up into the meadows and had lunch from a good vantage point.

Prince Charles has his guest house here and the village is a world heritage site.

We had our evening meal at a local B & B - mutton stew cooked over an open fire. This was preceded by another delicious soup - Romanians do soup particularly well.

We had plenty of time to be ready for the cows (horses, sheep and goats) coming home in the evening. This was an opportunity to shoot into the light.

Very late back to our hotel, but another wonderful day.
