Engagement

My brother, Gareth and his wife, Angela are my inspiration for my first photograph in what I hope is to be my second run at taking a photograph every day for a year. My last 365 was tough but I completed it and feel I improved my skills massively over the course of that year.

This is a photograph of a tiny silver bow that decorates the front of one of a pair of candle sticks Gareth and Angela bought us for our engagement present. I wanted to take the photo in low light in order to remove and distraction in the background and focus on the detail.
