Rachel's 11th Birthday

My niece Rachel's 11th Birthday today. I had her lots when she was little. I got her every weekend, she was like my child).

We then went through a little bad patch as I had Olivia and her mum had Ewan. I still got Rachel but there was a lot of jealously over Olivia and her own brother. I then fell pregnant with Noah and her mum was pregnant again with Robyn. Our relationship got worse and she stopped visiting. I still saw her but not as much.

She had been an only child for 5 years and got very jealous of the other kids. Thankfully we get along better now and she has accepted my kids (not so much her own siblings). I get her once a week again which is nice and I'm able to spend some time with her as my kids are a bit older. I wish I had handled things better but I was quite ill after both pregnancies and was struggling to cope with my own two.
