Dragons Nil

Day two of the Adventure festival here in Perth, with more outdoorsy stuff going on across the city.

The highlight was the dragon boat racing on the River Tay. Or it would have been had the river not had other ideas.

Despite the blessings of the boats from the local Chinese community including drums and fireworks the first race on the pretty fast flowing water ended in a capsizing for one of the boats. The rest of the races were postponed and then finally abandoned. Shame really.
