It was our Gala today. I went round to Jo's to enjoy the parade with her and the Burns boys. I took a few snap shots including one of my street where all the floats line up waiting to be judged and set off. But this one won for a blip. Very unfortunate for the people that owned the car but amusing for the spectators. It was a warm day and of course the traffic was moving very slowly, and it was near the end of the route- I wonder if it just over heated. Anyway, it took a lot of effort to push it to the side if the road so the rest of the parade could continue.
Went into the park after with a very excited young Abi who was "going on rides for 4yr olds!" We had a lovely time, waving as she road a motor bike, flew a plane, and rang the bell for the train. We watched a dog rounding up ducks, pet an owl, bounced on the bouncy castle and slide, ate ice cream and played 'big friendly monster' tig. And on the way home we tiptoed behind mummy, hid behind trees and benches and acted like lamp posts till we got home and won the trophy for not being seen all the way home (which we had read about on one of the posts along the canal!). :)
