Precious Objects #1

Not the most technically great shot I've ever done, but I thought I'd try to make a series out of precious objects. This was my Mum's ginger jar - she loved it, and polished it, and was really upset when my Dad dripped paint on it...

It is now the beautiful container for the jewellery that she left behind - each item a memory for me growing up, even if it is just costume jewellery. I love each piece.

I also love this jar as much as she did - it reminds me of what I am and where I have come from. Even with the paint drip...especially with the paint drips...
