Let the adventure begin....

A conversation in passing is recollected, an opportunity presents and a journey begins.

I like the idea of being in a country where you can’t speak the language, read the writing and every moment takes you out of your comfort zone. You wander around a corner, bound across a road, tiptoe down an alleyway and hike up a few more stairs. You pause a conversation and gasp at a building towering above, a wilderness that springs up in front of you, a world that looks so different and you have that awesome realisation, you are living an adventure!

It’s like being a child at a fair on your own for the first time...you’re not lost, just looking, and it’s all amazing.

Tokyo. 35 million people going about their daily lives and we get to walk amongst it. Everything is strange and grand, odd and beautiful, and completely intoxicating. This blip is from a shrine just in front of Tokyo Tower around one of those corners I mentioned. It resinated, I felt happy, I danced on the spot - it felt like home.
