Grey to gold

Today started out a bit grey. Smir (that a word that folk other than Scots use? It's that soft rain that goes every direction, just a bit heavier than mist) for a good bit of it.

We went for a walk along a coastal path. Found fossils, saw viking churches, watched the clouds roll past.

The day ended up bonnie and bright and we went on a quest to find Groattie Buckies (small cowrie shells). Didn't find any but did see an incredible Westray sunset. Was tempted to post Steven's beautiful golden picture of it... but that would have been cheating. So you'll just have to take my word for it and enjoy another of my studies in grey.
