sadly all that remains
PFFFF. The get-DIY-finished week has definitely gone much quicker than a week at work would have done but a week at work would still have featured more leisure-time and have been much less annoying. At least I got out for a morning-walk again, albeit one disrupted by some form of alleycat-style street-based team bicycle-race which meant that Roxburgh Close was closed whilst some ooh-look-at-us-aren't-we-extreme cyclists trundled down it whilst being filmed by some filming-people at the bottom. At least I got to laugh when one particularly show-offy gentleman attempted to pull a wheelie at the bottom for the camera (after getting all the way down without mishap) only to hit the kerb and almost slam into a wall. I assume the course later went on to include travelling the wrong way down a one-way street, skipping lots of red lights and other courier-tastic moves.
I forgot I'd taken this shot earlier and was all ready to post the drought-afflicted puddle round the back of the Pleasance (where they have finally begun to lay the temporary foundations for the temporary venues) and the magic faraway-shoes which should really have been red so that I could have made some kind of comment about checking the pavement for chewing-gum before thrice clicking your heels together.
Back to work tomorrow. Hopefully with a third of the department being on holiday it will be nice and peaceful.
