Fruition
I love roses, I think I am secretly a little old lady at heart. Years ago I bought this one 'Pat Austin' from David Austin roses after lots of research. I liked the tea rose scent and the fact it had a couple of colours in it.
The property I was in at the time flooded badly (twice in relatively quick succession). As it was a rented property everything in the garden was in pots and soon there were fig trees, blackcurrant bushes, roses, tomato plants and all manner of things floating around in the garden which, thanks to the stone wall, resembled a swimming pool for quite some time. Water going through the living room was flowing like a muddy river. Eventually with TLC all the plants recovered well and went on to thrive when planted out in the garden of the next property, that was all except this bush. It has always been a bit scraggy and weak and the flowers usually amount to about 2 each year (not good for a rose bush about 8 years old). This year it has come into it's own, several blooms and all looking healthy and happy.
P.S not sure why the picture quality is so bad. I fired up my old Nikon for the first time in months and something isn't right with it, could be dust or the wrong setting maybe but everything is horribly grainy. I can't work it out :-(
