so I have had a text from Chris's wife Jayne - he's been allowed home to recuperate ...HOORAY

meantime I had a phone call an hour ago to remind me of my hospital appointment tomorrow
well ... what appointment ... no one told me
the hospital is 30 miles away
my mum is having an operation tomorrow

thank you but no thanks - I'll rearrange ASAP
