What's eating the Cabbages?

Back at the allotment today tidying up and watering everything. It's interesting I planted cabbages - mostly under a plastic tunnel , but one wouldn't fit. It was left outside. Somethings eaten it. The photo shows the next one to it , which was under the plastic tunnel. It has to be birds / insects?
