Darcy and her mates
Our new Darcy Bussell rose is happily blooming away and now she has some mates adding a bit more colour to our new bed.
Yesterday I visited 5 of the open gardens in the village. Some folk spend every waking moment making their gardens look so immaculate. I am an impatient gardener and only work well with plants that thrive on neglect.
The best garden yesterday was quite small and combined veg, fruit, flowers and chickens into one amazing space. No separate veggie patch, orchard, flowerbeds. They all just blended in together. Wonderful.
Maybe I will plant a few onions round Darcy next year!
