Happy Birthday Big Noise

Lovely day. Started off stressful with a mad dash to be at the office for 9am. I *had* to be there to take a call. Only mad cos public transport CONSPIRED AGAINST ME... And then, after all that dashing, the phonecall never came!

Humph.

But after that the day was made lovely by proper sunshine with actual heat that resulted in CARDIGAN REMOVAL (I know!). The loveliness was topped by a trip to Stirling and the Raploch Community Campus for Big Noise Raploch's 6th birthday concert.

I've been working with Sistema for a number of years now. Never fail to be inspired by the amazing work they do with children, families and communities (they also work in Govanhill and are soon to open a third centre in Torry, Aberdeen). The well-being of children and families sits right at the heart of what they do and I can't help but get a bit teary when I see the kids do their stuff.

Today they didn't disappoint. I saw some of these kids first five years ago playing nursery rhymes. Today they knocked out a cracking William Tell's overture like it was easy.

Amazing.
