anniversary

We planted an agave in honour of my grandmother yesterday, tomorrow is the second anniversary of her passing away. I had picked up the plant at the nursery and didn't notice until I brought it home that the species is Agave stricta 'Nana', as the label said.

That's what we used to call her.

It is small, about 7" high at the moment, will grow to about 18" and has pointy sharp leaves that can jab you if you aren't careful.
